Don currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
His unique style of playing incorporates fingerpicking with simultaneous percussion on the soundboard to create a wall of sound.
He is often referred to as sounding like a four piece band. Don's music is his own unique weave of deeply textured melody and story.
Lyrical and compelling, his original songs are notes of exploration - some passionate and haunting, some hard-driven, others light and teasing.
In quiet pieces or pushing right to the edge, Don's phenomenal fingerstyle playing and rich voice captivate.

Other Guitar & Bass Artists
A Jazz guitarist, Composer and Educator. Always trying to keep himself inspired in order to express thoughts and feelings that he needs to "share" with other people. He is always interested in new music; however, he wouldn’t characterize himself as an avant-garde composer. He is influenced by the music of East European Composers such as Alfred Schnitke, Sofia Gubaidulina, Andrjey Panufnic and Krzysztof Penderecki, some music of his teacher Nicholas Sackman and mostly from his jazz background as a Jazz Guitarist. In his opinion, it is a Composer’s duty to be in touch with contemporary music, however, one should not be prone to any prejudice or aesthetic cliché as well as the constant stress of being modern. Looking for originality and being always ready to look with a critical eye at his/her accomplishments, the Composer will be able to decode the ‘real’ and the ‘ideal’ that is always necessary for creative composition.
