Born on July 24, 1938, in the Bronx, New York, Mike Mainieri started to learn vibraphone from the age of 12 and made his professional debut at the age of 14. After performing as a member of the Buddy Rich Band, he served as a pioneer in the New York style fusion movement as a band leader of legendary groups, including White Elephant, L'Image, STEPS and STEPS AHEAD together with Steve Gadd, Michael Brecker and other artists in 1970s.
Percussionist, Minh-Tâm Nguyen studied at the National Conservatory of Nice and then at the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon. Passionate about new technologies, sound research, image and movement, he is a percussionist / dancer in the show Echoa of the Arcosm company, and feeds his experience of his meetings and artistic collaborations thanks to a dynamic of trans disciplinary research, at the cross of various musical universes.
Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Percussion Section
The Orchestra plays for nearly all performances given by The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet on the main stage of the Royal Opera House, under Music Directors Antonio Pappano (The Royal Opera) and Koen Kessels (The Royal Ballet).
Marianna Bednarska is a young polish percussionist. She runs an active concert activity, not only as a soloist but also as a chamber music performer and orchestra musician. She is regularly invited to international music festivals and cooperates with recognized personalities of the musical world.
The French percussionist and marimba player, Jean Geoffroy, studied at at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris where he won first prize in percussion in 1985.
