Since the 90´s Jamiroquai have stood for Musicality, Groove & Funk. Worldwide chart success, sold out tours and hits spanning across more than 2 decades earn Jamiroquai status as one of the most renown & influential Funk bands of our generation.

At the 2016 Frankfurt Musikmesse, Yamaha Pro Music are proud to announce that we will stage special performances of Jamiroquai´s original Groove Section on all 4 days of the fair from 7th – 10th April 2016.

Bandleader and Jamiroquai Keyboardist, Songwriter & Producer Matt Johnson will be playing the new Yamaha MONTAGE Synthesizer during the fair, showcasing to audiences for the first time in Europe what this new flagship synth can do! Matt will be joined by Jamiroquai drummer and groove master Derrick McKenzie on Yamaha Recording Custom drums. Singer Hazel Fernandes will step into the spotlight from her role as backing singer with the band, and Randy Hope-Taylor who performed on the first Jamiroquai albums and has played with Incognito will complete the line-up on Bass.

The band will prepare a special set for all visitors, so make sure to stop by the Yamaha Stage in the “Portalhaus” or the main stage at Musikmesse.

Come and enjoy an extraordinary Synthesizer presentation from the fantastic international product specialist, mixing engineer & Music teacher Bert Smorenburg from Holland.

This man combines excellent playing with perfect information and lots of humour, making up for an outstanding performance!

Jazz Pianist & European Yamaha Keys demonstrator Adrian Zalten Trained in the United States in Jazz and Gospel Music with Donald Brown at the University of Tennessee.

Adrian will be demonstrating the new reface Operating System, answering any technical questions you may have and talk through the updates!

Martin started working with Yamaha in the 90’s as a demonstrator, now working in London’s R&D centre, he’s an outstanding keyboard player, widely respected and known throughout the industry.

As a key part of the Montage development group, Martin is the perfect person to walk you through exactly what the new flagship synthesizer can do!

At the Yamaha Booth we will have a special green screen photo booth set up with Yamaha instruments for you to “play” at a venue of your choice!

You can choose to have your photo taken at a festival, tiny jazz club, concert hall or even in Space!

Everyone who takes part can take a free souvenir photo home with them so make sure to stop by and enjoy your 15 minutes of fame!

We will be giving away 1 reface every day of Musikmesse!

All visitors have to do is come to the booth and sign up to receive newsletters from Yamaha Synths and we will pick a winner at random every day, so please spread the word!
